  • Did you know?
    • Files from your disk can be dragged onto form upload fields.
    • Pressing F3 brings up a search box at top right so you can search within the page. Note that this doesn't search inside text areas yet.
    • Pressing and holding left mouse under Back/Forward buttons in the toolbar brings up a menu of history items (if present) similar to how it would when right clicked on the buttons.
    • Alt+Home loads your Google Chrome homepage having thumbnails of your most visited sites.

    • Install Privoxy
    • Click on the Wrench icon in Chrome in the upper right corner
    • Choose options>Under The Hood>Change proxy settings
    • A windows box pops up, choose LAN settings (at least this is what it's called in Vista)
    • Check off "Proxy settings" and in the address setting add127.0.0.1 and in the port 8118
    • If you have the option, you can also check off "Bypass proxy for local settings"
    • Click "Ok", close chrome and restart it.

  • Greasemetal - an Userscript Runtime for Google Chrome - Greasemetal is a userscript runtime for Google Chrome. The runtime hosts userscripts (tiny javascript files that modify the webpages being displayed) to be executed on Google Chrome, similar to what Greasemonkey does for Mozilla Firefox

  • How to Change Icons on the Bookmarks bar - "I added quite a few bookmarklets to my Bookmarks bar and was unhappy with the same default icon that showed for each one. There are no settings currently available within Chrome to change the icon, but there is a way to fix them that works quite well."

  • UnChrome - Replaces your Chrome installation's unique ID (which allows your identification to Google) with null values thereby anonymizing your Chrome installation.
